I led a team of Solent researchers in conducting in-depth interviews with news consumers for the Trust Project, an international initiative dedicated to building a more trusted and trustworthy press. The project is directed by Sally Lehrman, a visiting professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and our work led to the development of widely-recognised trust indicators supported by hundreds of news partners worldwide.
Interviews were conducted with news consumers from a diversity of backgrounds from across the South East. Interviewees were drawn from a variety of ethnic, religious, gender, generational, geographical, and class backgrounds. Click the link to read about the work.
